leadership
Leadership has changed a great deal over the past few decades. There has been a definite move from control to empowerment which is reflected in today's successful organisations.
Today's leaders need to anticipate change and create a clear vision for the future. This requires a style which inspires, empowers, influences, develops and releases potential. The road to developing these skills is gaining an understanding of your own style and the effect it has on people in different situations - and then practicing!
We design leadership training programmes that enable participants to develop their leadership skills through taking part in challenging indoor and outdoor projects, applying theory, taking part in facilitated reviews and giving and receiving feedback. Leadership training at Log Heights is individually designed to ensure integration of relevant business knowledge and practices and maximise the transfer of learning.
We use many different leadership models in our programmes, but one of our favourites has to be the Kouzes-Posner Leadership Model. The key components are…
- Model the way
- Inspire a shared vision
- Challenge the process
- Enable others to act
- Encourage the heart

One of our favourite leadership models is the Kouzes-Posner Leadership Model

Leadership programmes will enable participants to:
- Analyse their own leadership skills and the impact these may have on others
- Become more self-aware - develop strengths and address weaknesses
- Build their self-confidence
- Practise leading a team in the completion of a project providing opportunities to experiment with new behaviours and techniques
- Give and receive focused personal feedback
- Plan for future development of leadership skills
