For example, as part of ‘inspire a shared vision’, participants develop a vision presentation about the future of their team on which they are given feedback by other leaders and the course tutors. To practise ‘enabling others to act’, the leaders take part in a complex project in which they have to assign responsibility to team members for tasks as diverse as making up words from wooden letters, balancing on diverging wires and climbing a 30 foot telegraph pole – all according to their individual talents!
